Salary: £42,403 - £43,421 pro rata

Hours: 37 hours

Location(s): Carlisle

Contract: Fixed-term – 18 month contact

Cumberland Council is an ambitious authority that aims to shape public services for the better, building on the best and transforming them for the future.

We want to create and sustain the best set of services for our communities to ensure all our residents are getting the help and support they need.

People are our strong point - in our communities and in our staff - and they are continuously the focus of our efforts.

Are you curious, analytical and passionate about turning data into insight? We are seeking a Senior Analyst - Performance & Analysis who can help us on our journey to becoming a more proactive data driven organisation.

About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking person to join our new council as we embark on our transformation journey. This role will focus on Adult Social Care in Cumberland Council.

We are a fast-paced, strategic team focussed on improving the lives of adults in Cumbria. You will interrogate data and will be able to provide the insights, analysis and advice for the senior leadership team in Adults to enable them to develop strategies, policies and actions to improve performance, and find solutions to problems. We can offer you excellent training and development opportunities alongside flexible working that allows you to keep the right work-life balance while still developing your career.

Who we are looking for

Are you someone who loves working with data? Do you enjoy developing charts graphs and visualisations? Can you analyse data to find meaningful insights for different audiences? We are looking for someone who is inquisitive and has a passion for finding new and interesting ways of presenting data stories back to people. You'll have the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders and the confidence to challenge the status quo.

The successful candidate needs a flexible ‘can-do’ approach and they would have an eye for detail and opportunities to develop new products or processes.

Previous experience within local government isn't essential just the desire to learn and make a positive difference.

If this sounds like you, then please get in touch.

If you would like to find out more or have an informal conversation about this role, please contact Richard Corton, Senior Performance Officer on [email protected] .

What can we offer you!
