Career Services Coordinator is part of Northern State University’s Student Success Center in the Academic Affairs division. This position provides leadership and direction for the implementation of career development and professional development opportunities and employment search resources for undergraduate and graduate students.

Job Duties:

Provide individualized career consultation to students.

Invite and host job recruiters on campus to develop and maintain positive employer relationships. Other duties as assigned to ensure effective oversight of the Career Services program and initiatives.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Background in counseling, education, student services, human resources, psychology, or related field preferred. Experience working in career services, career development, academic advising, or human resources preferred.

Other requirements:

Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating programs; organizational skills and ability to plan and execute large-scale events. Strong communication skills, presentation skills, and networking experience, ability to collaborate with faculty and other campus personnel and offices. Experience with technology and career-related software platforms.
Some supervisory experience, budget management experience. Ability to use remote conferencing and virtual platforms for networking and program delivery.

This position is a part of the Student Success Center at NSU which includes professionals in tutoring, academic advising, academic support, career services, American Indian Circle Program, TRIO Student Support Services, TRIO Upward Bound and supplemental instruction
