Job description

We are recruiting a Criminal Fee Earner on behalf of a firm of Solicitors that prides itself on its reputation for client care.

The applicant should be an experienced Solicitor – duty qualified to handle case preparation in both the Magistrates and Crown Court, police station attendance, advocacy and out of hours rota.

The firm is fully committed to this area of law and offer a supportive/friendly working environment.

You will be handling a caseload comprising the full remit of criminal cases including motoring offences.

Duties will include;

• Taking instructions from clients
• Representing and attending meetings with clients in police stations, cells and in the office
• Obtaining and reviewing evidence
• Progressing cases through to trial
• Liaising with professionals and external organisations

Our client will consider varying levels of experience but to be considered for this role it is essential that you have rights of audience with demonstrable experience of handling your own caseload of criminal matters. You should be passionate about providing high standards of client care and have the ability to prioritise and manage demanding workloads.
