The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished HR Operations Specialist to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial and fast-moving broking environment. This newly created position will play a crucial role in delivering an excellent and friendly global operational HR service. Key responsibilities include managing the employee life cycle as well as ownership of SM&CR documentation, immigration, and HR policies and procedures. This is a broad role and would suit experienced candidates with a global HR Operations background.
Responsibilities
• Provide a proficient, efficient and approachable operational HR Service to the business; responsible for onboarding and offboarding processes as well internal transfers
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits and other related issues as well as addressing employee concerns in a timely and confidential manner
• Conduct a thorough audit of current HR systems and processes, leading the effort to scope and project manage the implementation of any new systems, while rigorously evaluating and testing process enhancements for effectiveness and seamless integration. Actively seek out, understand and incorporate feedback and user requirements from HR and wider teams including IT, Finance, Compliance and management
• Automate and continuously improve HR processes and promote an easy-to-use employee and manager self-service system and experience; provide technical support as required
• Compliance with immigration, employment laws; maintain governance at all times
• Review offer letters and employment agreements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Conduct thorough reviews of employment agreements, including terms and conditions, non-compete clauses, and confidentiality agreements, to mitigate potential risks and protect the interests of the organization
• Take ownership of key activities relating to payroll input to ensure data accuracy, collaborating with Finance
• Manage key HR vendors Reward / Benefits and benchmarking
• Prepare and generate reports as requested for management team; manage responses to audit requests for HR information
• Responsible for GDPR and data retention for HR team
• Provide coaching and mentoring to HR team
• Create and maintain procedural documentation, FAQ, tip sheets and how to guides for HR system
• Support HR and Compliance teams with SM&CR processes and documentation
• Support HR team with other HR matters including employee relations, investigations and absence cases as required
• Deputise for Head of HR and fulfil any additional ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Technical skills / Competencies
• Demonstrate experience supporting UK HR Operations – essential. Global experience a plus
• Knowledge of UK employment legislation and compliance laws including immigration; (right to work, national minimum wage, 2010 Equality Act) knowledge of US & Denmark legislation a plus
• Expert in HRIS, experience of implementation of HRIS; good organisation and project management skills – essential
• Demonstrate experience of continually looking to optimise workflows and efficiencies – essential
• Good knowledge and working experience of payroll, GDPR and reward – essential
• Demonstrate ability to handle confidential and sensitive people-data with discretion - essential
• Experience of working in a global SME– a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus - essential
• Excellent process, data and systems orientation with first-class problem-solving skills – essential
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to build relationships across all levels across business and externally - essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and analytical skills – essential

• Experience conducting HR investigations and employee relations matters – a plus
• Advanced user of Excel with the ability to manipulate and analyse data, pivot tables – essentiaL
