Here at Pets at Home, we’re looking for a Data Visualisation Engineer to join the team.

About the role

As a Data Visualisation Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of transforming raw data into actionable insights using the Power BI Platform. You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives, translating them into visually engaging graphics and charts. Your knack for storytelling through data will drive the creation of interactive dashboards that captivate and inform.

You’ll work on a hybrid basis from our Support Office in Handforth (Cheshire).

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with stakeholders to translate requirements into wireframes and technical specifications
• Presenting and explaining data visualisations, offering insights and recommendations
• Ensuring accuracy and relevance of visualisations through collaboration with data colleagues
• Developing reports and dashboards, leveraging your expertise in Power BI and SQL
• Staying ahead of emerging trends, incorporating new technologies into your work to enhance impact
• Transforming, analysing, summarising and interpreting complex datasets to identify key insights and trends
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data visualisations into business processes and decision-making

About you

• Proven experience in Power BI product lifecycle management
• Expertise in SQL, data modelling and DAX expressions
• Experience in designing and implementing efficient data models, using Power BI to ensure optimal performance and scalability
• Familiarity with big data and cloud-based BI solutions (such as Google Big Query, Azure, etc.)
• Proven track record of successful Visualisation dashboard delivery
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
