Role: Sports Coach
Location: Southampton
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £80 - £95 per day
Are you passionate about education and sports, with a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs? GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Sports Coach for one of our schools in Southampton.
Responsibilities may include:
- Design and implement sports programs tailored to the unique needs and abilities of students with SEN, fostering physical activity, teamwork, and personal development.
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students, regardless of their abilities or challenges.
- Work closely with teaching staff to integrate sports and physical activities into the overall educational curriculum, promoting a holistic approach to student development.
- Provide individualized coaching and support to students, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students, adjusting coaching methods as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements: - Hold a recognized qualification in sports coaching, education, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to adapt coaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
- Hold a Child-Only Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL.
