Assistant Headteacher for EYFS
Hours: This is a full-time role with Class Teaching responsibility 2.5 days per week.
Contract Type: Permanent
Payscale: Dependent on experience
Start: September 2024
Coldfall Primary School is looking for an experienced and outstanding Early Years practitioner to lead provision across the Foundation Stage. The successful candidate will be committed to serving Coldfall’s diverse and vibrant community with energy, expertise and love.
The successful Candidate must have the knowledge and ambition for excellent and innovative teaching and learning throughout the Early Years. The Assistant Head Teacher will need to be able to model best practice in all subjects across their phase and be a trusted source of assistance to other teachers and staff. They must be a leader who epitomises a can-do approach to making things happen and be able to initiate successful and effective change.
The role of Assistant Headteacher will require a mix of both operational and strategic leadership; you will need to lead and organise a high-performing team in your phase, oversee all behaviour and safeguarding incidents within your phase, and be the key point of contact for all parents/carers within the phase. This sits alongside a teaching commitment and the opportunity to develop some whole-school strategic responsibilities and knowledge. Appointed candidates should be prepared for this all-encompassing role, the expectations it will bring and the challenges which may come along.
You will be supported by a committed and effective Senior Leadership Team to develop your skills and who will work collaboratively to achieve our shared ambition for an outstanding EYFS.
