Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Servicing of machinery and equipment, including record keeping, on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Fault find, diagnose and repair portable equipment, ladders, hoses and cranes
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing, electrical and mechanical faults on plant equipment
- Installation of mechanical and electrical services while under supervision
- Implementation and adherence to all health and safety policies, generate risk assessments and complete all paperwork relating to health and safety
The training you will be getting
You will attend Hopwood Hall College on a day-release basis, completing your Level 3 over 48 months. You will also follow a learning plan in the workplace, supported by a mentor.
Qualifications include;
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Mechatronics Maintenance Technician
- Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Upon completion, you will be a qualified engineer.
- If you wish, you can progress to an HNC Level 4 in Mechanical Engineering or electrical Engineering.
