Sales Manager – Analytical Instruments





Salary: Up to £55K Base + Bonus/Commission

A global leader in laboratory equipment is currently seeking a sales manager to oversee a small team of UK sales representatives selling their analytical instrumentation range. The successful candidate will have the primary responsibilities of coaching and driving the sales team's performance and contributing to the overall success of the organisation in the North of the UK. The ideal candidate will become a valuable leader of a highly motivated team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, direction, and motivation to ensure the team's success. 
  2. Sales Strategy: Develop, implement, and continually refine the sales strategy to meet or exceed sales targets, revenue objectives, and market share goals. 
  3. Sales Planning: Create and maintain sales plans and forecasts, including setting sales quotas, territory assignments, and budget management.
  4. Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
  5. Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, and use this information to make informed decisions and adjust sales strategies as needed.

 

Requirements

• Desirable candidates should possess a degree in chemistry, physics, life sciences or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Previous sales experience selling analytical instruments with some sales management/team leadership experience

• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.

• Willingness to travel within the North of the UK
