Project Engineer
Location: West Bromwich
Job Type: Permanent
Our client, one of themost respected and reliable wastewater treatment brands in the UK,are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical and commercial aspects of various contracts, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and internal departments. Roles and Responsibilities:
Review and Coordination: Reviewing all relevant job data including project plans, specs, and coordinating with other departments to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Project Management: Conducting project review meetings, advising Project Manager on project status, and reporting any variations or issues that may arise.
Client Communication: Communicating promptly with clients regarding project schedules and addressing any contract-related queries or concerns.
Contract Management: Overseeing the submission of invoices, approving payments, and supporting debt collection activities.
Leadership: Maintaining leadership position for other company departments and supply chain partners to ensure professional delivery of Projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: HNC or higher in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: Related experience in engineering or project management, with a focus on designing and delivering EPC contracts.
Knowledge: Familiarity with conditions of contracts, particularly NEC, I Chem E.
Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyse, and interpret complex industry-related documents. Proficiency in preparing and communicating status reports.
Decision Making: Ability to make decisions requiring the use of various variables in standard situations.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Project, and other MS Office programs.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical equations to complex, non-standard situations.
Travel: Willingness to travel throughout the UK and abroad as required.
