About The Role
Here at Care South we are recruiting for a Sales Ledger Assistant to work within the Accounts Team at our Head Office based in Poole.

- Full time permanent - Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
- £22,000 - £24,000 per annum (based on experience)

Reporting to our Accounts Team Leader - this role will be responsible for processing all sales ledger transactions and associated accounts admin.

Responsibilities will include:

- Processing sales ledger transactions including sales invoicing, assisting direct debit administration & collection, receipt processing, credit control and standing data administration.

- Support with overseeing the collection of customer accounts in a manner which ensures a high-quality standard of service & customer satisfaction - being able to communicate efficiently yet politely with customers.

- Liaise as required with Residential Care Homes, Care South at Home offices, senior management and external stakeholders including local authorities and customers.

- Assist with the preparation of account reconciliations and investigation & resolution of old or un-reconciled items.

- Support with month-end procedures as required by the Accounts Team Leader and Head of Finance.

- Involvement in testing and implementing enhancements to the relevant systems and processes.

- Maintenance and filing of accounting records as required - updating customer records regarding annual and ad-hoc fee increases and assisting in the issuing of all necessary letters to customers.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- You'll need to be extremely numerate, with attention to detail and the ability to process transactions quickly and with accuracy. (Previous experience and understanding of reconciliations and sales ledger processing would be an advantage)

- A comprehensive understanding and experience of using computerised general ledger systems

- Strong Microsoft Excel & Word
