Your new company
You will be working for a national maintenance contractor who have secured a long-term contract with a local authority in Edinburgh to provide reactive & planned works on schools across the area. Due to a pending retirement, they are looking to add a plumber to their trade team.
Your new role
You will be working independently across various schools in Edinburgh, doing reactive & planned maintenance work as directed by the client. This could involve installing & repairing internal pipework and fixtures, inspection & testing and all other aspects of domestic plumbing. You will be expected to complete the appropriate paperwork and report back to the contracts manager with any major issues.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified plumber and be able to provide up-to-date trade paperwork/SJIB card, ideally with experience working in a maintenance environment. As you will be provided with a work van, you will have to have a valid UK Driving Licence. There will be interaction with staff & members of the public including children, therefore you will be required to complete a PVG via Disclosure Scotland.
