Job description
Our client is a well-established and reputable law firm located in Reading, Berkshire. They are currently seeking a Family Solicitor with 2-6 years’ PQE to join their dynamic family team. The successful candidate will specialise in a range of family law matters, including (but not limited to) divorce and separation, children matters, cohabitation agreements, domestic abuse and emergency applications, enforcement of orders and agreements, financial matters on divorce or separation, same-sex relationships, and civil partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert legal advice and representation in family law matters, with a focus on divorce and separation, children matters, and related areas.
- Handling a diverse caseload, including cohabitation disputes, domestic abuse cases, and emergency applications.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including agreements, court submissions, and correspondence.
- Representing clients in court proceedings and attending hearings as required.
- Advising on financial matters arising from divorce or separation, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes for clients.
- Staying abreast of legal developments and changes in family law, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Qualifications and Skills required:
- Qualified Solicitor with 2-6 years’ PQE.
- Specialisation in family law, with a focus on divorce and separation.
- Proven experience in handling cases related to children matters, cohabitation agreements, domestic abuse, and financial matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service with empathy and professionalism.
