Job description
HVAC Design Engineer required near West Bromwich.
Salary in the c£30-42k bracket, pending experience.
Can be offered as a hybrid role.

THE ROLE
* Working on HVAC projects to provide heating/cooling solutions, focusing on ventilation (fans/air handling units) and ductwork.
* Taking projects from enquiry stage and producing a fully designed technical solution, with use of AutoCAD packages.
* This will include liaising with consultants and contractors to interpret drawings and technical specifications for customer projects.
* Calculations of heat/cooling/air-flow to size up and select appropriate units and equipment.
* Creating a fully costed solution and pass on to the projects team at order.
* Supervision and mentoring of a junior engineer, with the prospect of further responsibilities in the future as the group expands.
THE PERSON
* Seeking a design engineer with a minimum of 1 years experience in the HVAC and/or building services industry.
* Ability to design a solution, undertaking air-flow calculations and putting together effective technical quotations and works packages.
* Could suit a design engineer, applications engineer, estimator or junior engineer from the HVAC or Building Services industry keen to further their career.
* Able user of CAD packages, mainly in 2D with possible future use of 3D modelling and BIM packages.
* Good communicator saught to help train and develop junior engineers, plus liaise effectively with consultants and contractors on technical specifications.
THE PACKAGE
A basic salary from c£30-42k pending on background and experience.
Full benefits to include 25 days holiday.
THE LOCATION
Mainly office-based near to West Bromwich, to include visits to the projects office and sites as required.
For those with experience, there is the possibility of hybrid/home working.
