Job description
Due to our sustained and continued growth OCU Services are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Coordinator.The role is within our Power division working on our SSEN New Connections framework. The purpose of this role is to work alongside our Electrical Project Managers to coordinate electrical distrprojects for operational delivery scheduling resource liaising with local authorities customers and client updating work management systems and submitting all required applications to ensure projects are delivered right first time meeting the required programme dates. You will take ownership of thejob from receipt to completion. you will also be responsible for contacting and updating the Customer and Client throughout with job progression.
Responsibilities
- Management of job portfolio providing weekly update to Planning Manager
- Accurately updating all work management systems and trackers (Depotnet Smart Sheet Schedule) progressing jobs through each stage of construction.
- Planning work to requested dates
- Programming required work elements
- Utilising available resource
- Accurately detailing work element on schedule
- Correctly assigning required craftsmen
- Dealing with affected stakeholders
- Liaising with authorities
- Notifying all necessary parties to ensure work can be carried out
- Notifying Street Works CoOrdinating department of required street works applications to raise.
- Raising necessary Planned Supply Interruptions in line with network requirements (utilising information supplied by engineers).
- Organise carding packs as required so that the Access Officer can accurately deliver outage notification letters.
- Producing jeopardy reports age profiling outstanding jobs managing timely job completion
- Carry out any other duties appropriate for the role
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Project CoOrdinator role (with a utilities background).
- Knowledge and understand of Street Works and permitting requirements.
- Experience dealing with general public customers and clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management organisation skills and able to work to deadlines
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office (Word Excel Power Point and Outlook)
- Experience within a busy office environment
- Ability to prioritise own workload and manage expectations
- Attention to detail
- Experience either working directly for a Distribution Network Operator or for a subcontractor/framework partner working on the electrical distribution network
- Experience using SSENs EO Web online mapping system (desirable)
