THE COMPANY
Our client is a production company creating content, from short-form work for digital platforms to long-form documentary features.
THE ROLE
As Head of Production, you will be responsible for navigating complex briefs, managing budgets, and working closely with cost controllers to ensure the delivery of high-quality productions.
Key responsibilities:
- Thoroughly analyse TVC and Branded Content briefs to understand client objectives, target audience and creative requirements.
- Create detailed budgets that align with client expectations and project scope. Work closely with agency producers and production consultants to monitor expenses and ensure financial efficiency.
- Identify innovative solutions to produce high-quality content within budget constraints.
- Negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and freelancers to secure the best rates without compromising on production value.
- Oversee and supervise commercial productions from greenlight, working with Line Producers to work through production and client issues.
- Develop and execute production strategies that minimise environmental impact, aiming for a low carbon footprint across all productions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with agency producers during the bidding process.
- Work closely with creative teams, directors, and production staff to ensure that the project vision is feasible within the proposed budget.
- Stay current on industry trends, cost fluctuations and new technologies that can enhance production value.
THE PERSON
For this role, you must have a proven track record as a Head of Production or hold a similar role in a production company or in-house discipline.
You must have a strong understanding of TVC and Branded Content line-production processes.
You must possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex budgets,
Lastly, an adept ability to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers and partners is essential.
