Job Description
- Developing and implementing efficient supply chain strategies
- Managing and controlling inventory levels within the business
- Collaborating with sales and production teams to forecast demand
- Identifying potential supply chain risks and implementing mitigation plans
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
- Optimising processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Producing regular reports on supply chain performance
The Successful Applicant
A successful Planner should have:
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial / manufacturing sector
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using supply chain management software
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A solid understanding of procurement processes and vendor management
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
