Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists is a large multidisciplinary referral hospital providing veterinary referral services across the South of England including London and the Thames Valley. Our specialist services include Anaesthesia and Analgesia, Orthopaedic surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Emergency and Critical Care, Oncology, and Diagnostic Imaging.The hospital is an ISFM gold feline clinic and was awarded the BVHA design award for an outstanding working environment. We are part of CVS (UK) Ltd, the largest provider of integrated veterinary services in the UK; the referrals division currently operates eight referral hospitals in the UK and Ireland. We are looking for an enthusiastic RVN who is passionate about dermatology to join our excellent and dedicated dermatology team. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dermatology specialist to further develop your skills and knowledge and build the dermatology department. Whether you have worked in dermatology before, or just want to learn new skills we can support you to reach your goals. The dermatology caseload varies and the dermatology nurse will help to lead the dermatology-specific inpatient care and assist the clinician during consults or conducting sedations and anaesthetics. You will also be expected to help support other departments as directed by your line manager. Comprehensive training in dermatology will be provided. We have an 8 week induction process to help you settle into your new role and get to know the team. We have a dedicated Learning and Education Team Leader to help support with any further training you may feel necessary.
