Job description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading dealer of material handling equipment looking to recruit a new Field Service Engineer to service a growing fleet of trucks across the South of England. With a competitive basic salary and a number of other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a new position. 

Responsibilities

• Servicing a client base across the Kent region with a focus on servicing forklift trucks
• Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment to include access and pallet trucks
• Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when visiting customer sites
• Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with experience within the Material Handling industry. However this isn’t essential, they would also be interested in speaking with candidates with a background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or other industries with a strong hydraulics/mechanical focus. You will ideally be based in Berkshire or within short commutable distance.

• Competitive salary (up to £40k depending on experience)

• Overtime opportunity paid time and a half for the first 4 hours and double time after that

Having been established for over 30 years, they have a strong local presence across the M25 area offer an extensive range of trucks as well as pallet racking and other equipment. Due to recent expansion, they’re now looking to add to their service team.
