Team Leader

Hourly rate -£11.92- £12.92 per hour

Shift- Day shifts (Possibly some rotational nights)

35 hours per week (Alternate weekends)

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting for a Team Leader who is caring, compassionate and dedicated in providing support for people with complex and high dependency needs. 

 

Main purpose:

As a Team leader your main purpose will be to contribute and have responsibility for providing quality social and vocational support services for the people you support. You will lead, supervise and develop a team of support workers to ensure the needs of those we support are met according to their individual support plan in line with company policy and procedures and regulatory standards. You will be confident in leading a team to support people with a range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis and disabilities resulting from stroke or an accident.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• You will Establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders in order to compliment and contribute to the positive reputation of the company.
• To provide line management to a designated team of staff within a specified group at a location or group of locations within the allocated division.
• To undertake any reasonable traveling requirements in order to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role. This may include supporting other locations within the Division as required.
• To set and communicate high standards of care and professional conduct within the team supervised.
• To lead and support compliance and quality audits.
• To lead and support in health and safety duties as appropriate
• To contribute information for the accurate notification of incidents/accidents/safeguarding as appropriate.
• Represent in meetings and seminars and any other external events, where appropriate.

This role could be for you if you have:

SVQ level 3 in Heath & Social Care- Essential 

Skills/Experience required:

• Previous experience of working within a care/support environment
• Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety and food hygiene
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable in approach, being able to prioritise , plan and organise the work load
• Demonstrating a customer focused approach and a professional attitude
• IT skills including the ability to open and send emails using Outlook, the ability to use Microsoft office and the ability to navigate the internet
• Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively on all levels
• Literacy skills to meet the requirements of defensible documentation
• Numeracy skills to meet financial management responsibilities
• Ability to use your own initiative and make informed decisions.
• Good time keeping, time management attendance skills
