Carry out any work related to and reasonably incidental to the duties set out in your job plan or rota including keeping of records and the provision of reports, the proper delegation of tasks and maintaining skills and knowledge. .
Responsibilities
- Clinical and professional responsibility for patients.
- Assessment of out-patients booked to Neurology Out-Patient clinics.
- Administration of patients seen as out-patients and in-patients (dictation, letter signing and auctioning investigation results).
- Keep patients (and their carers if appropriate) informed about their condition
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold Full registration with the General Medical Council (London) with Licence to Practice or be eligible for immediate application to register with the GMC
- Have at least 4 years full-time postgraduate experience (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least 2 of which will be in a specialty training programme or as a Fixed Term Specialty Trainee in a relevant specialty; OR
- Have equivalent experience and competencies
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
- This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
Desirable Skills
- MRCP(UK) or equivalent
MRCGP or equivalent
- Previous experience in Clinical Neurology or Stroke
