Chichester College Group
Location
Chichester, West Sussex | United Kingdom
Job description
Are you looking for a flexible role that could fit around university studies or family responsibilities or that ideal part time role to earn a bit of extra money?
As IT Technical Support in our STEM team, you will join our small internal STEM IT department that supports almost 100 systems onsite across a number of classrooms in a bespoke lab network within the Computing department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in IT, maybe someone studying their own IT qualification and wants to gain extra experience. You will be working mostly to your own pace, with support and guidance from key individuals and the Computing teaching team.
Working for the Chichester College Group offers a highly competitive pension scheme, and also gives you access to Group facilities such as discounted gym membership and discounts at our First Steps Childcare nurseries.
Our Centre of Digital Excellence (CODEs) was opened in 2022 and offers students some of the best facilities in the region for studying IT and Computing, with a focus on Esports and Games Development.
You will be joining the College at an exciting time, as we develop our new Institute of Technology. These Institutes of Technology are collaborations between Further Education providers, Universities and employers. They specialise in delivering higher technical education, with the aim of addressing local and regional skills shortages in STEM subjects.
As our IT Technical Support for STEM, you will have experience of maintaining and using the relevant equipment and tools, ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. A level 2 qualification in a related subject is also essential.
This role is fixed term until 31st July 2024.
Closing date: 25/03/2024
Suitable candidates may be invited to interview prior to the closing date and we reserve the right to close the vacancy early should sufficient applications be received. This is a CV only application process. You may be asked to complete an application form as part of the recruitment process.
