Location: Salford
Salary: £85 - £95 per day
Contract Type: ASAP

GSL Education is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join a specialized school in Salford, catering to students with EHCPs related to trauma, social, emotional, and mental health challenges, ADHD, ADD, OCD, and various associated conditions. We particularly welcome applications from graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, or Education.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will engage in a highly demanding yet fulfilling role. Each child comes with a unique context, including mental health and trauma experiences, idiosyncrasies, cultures, and home lives. Building comfort and relationships through a restorative model is paramount and should never be overlooked.
Key Highlights: - Work alongside outstanding SEN professionals and like-minded graduates in Psychology and Criminology.
- Opportunities for shadowing specialists, subject to their schedules and each child's context.
- Small class sizes of no more than 6 students, allowing for a mix of 1:1 and small group work based on lesson plans and individual contexts.
- Focus on developing key and personal skills through various activities, including sports, cooking, technology, music, drama, photography, and art.
- Access to comprehensive training and support provided by the school's excellent training system.
- Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
