Reporting to the Head of Operations the Project Manager will ensure the effective management and development of the Service in line with Organisational strategy, observing regulatory and contractual compliance, whilst at all times promoting the Praxis values and brand through a high quality support of our Service Users ensuring the principals of respect, privacy, dignity, fulfilment, independence and choice are upheld at all times..
Responsibilities
- To oversee and contribute to Service User referral processes, admission and review procedures whilst working in partnership with the relevant statutory agencies, families and others in planning and developing person centred programmes
- To monitor and support service users towards independence and contribute to the review of each in partnership with the multi-disciplinary/agency teams dealing with any issues of concern or complaints sensitively and appropriately
- To co-ordinate and contribute to the selection, recruitment and induction of new staff
- provide an effective leadership of all staff within the scheme, through regular supervision, effective communication, management of workloads and identification of development needs
- assess and verify staff undergoing career development qualifications.
- To personally contribute towards a positive, cohesive and therapeutic environment and to deal appropriately with matters relating to disciplinary, grievance, untoward incidents and complaints within the service
- To develop good working relationships and actively promote presence within the local community through positive representation of the Praxis brand
- To ensure efficient and effective administration procedures are in place to comply with Praxis Care policy and Regulatory/Legislative requirements
- To be fully involved in preparation and control of scheme budget as determined by senior management ensuring budget and financial procedures are adhered to and that all monies correctly accounted for.
- To complete H & S monthly monitoring reports and work in partnership with contractors, health and safety experts to ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner which is safe to everyone within scheme
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A minimum of four years work experience in health and social care setting supporting service users with mental ill health/learning disabilities/dementia/complex needs and one of the following;
- Professional Social Work qualification and registered on the appropriate part of the NISCC register without condition. A first level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC register.
- Allied Health Professions registered on the appropriate part of the HCPC register
- Or a minimum five years practice experience in a health and social care setting supporting service users with mental ill health/learning disabilities/dementia/complex needs
- AND a Level 5 Diploma for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Residential Management) (Wales and Northern Ireland) and registered, or be eligible to register on appointment, on the appropriate part of the NISCC register, without condition.
- Minimum of two years experience of at least one of the following in a health and social care setting
- A management post in health and social care team/service; staff management; supervision, caseload management, care management, resource management; student supervision/mentoring, project management.
- Demonstrate supervisory management experience. Establishing and maintaining administration systems. Experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- IT skills; Change Management; Excellent Communication Skills both verbal and written; Highly proficient in the assessment of needs; Organisational skills; Interpersonal skills; Leadership skills; Numeracy skills
- Report Writing skill; Risk Management skills; Chairing skills
- Full valid driving licence on application and access to own transport on appointment. If a disability precludes an individual from holding a drivers licence, it should be stated how they can meet the mobility requirement of the post.
- Available to work flexibly; Will be required to take part in out of hours consultation; Motivated to drive continuous improvement and development of the service
