Job description

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Service at the Children's Support Service, which is a highly regarded Alternative Provision based in the South of Essex (whilst also covering Medical Education in the South and West of Essex).  

You will be based at our Wickford site, but mobile across all areas of the service. The appointed candidate will lead an innovative and expanding service, which has a longstanding reputation across Essex.

You will:

• Lead a highly regarded Alternative Provision
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and build on established partnerships
• Receive a high level of support from dedicated, experienced and skilled colleagues
• Work in a dynamic, diverse and enjoyable setting
• Make a meaningful difference to the lives of children

The successful candidate should be someone who can:

• Demonstrate a strategic vision for the continued improvement of CSS
• Be able to cultivate positive relationships with all stakeholders and key partners
• Be fully committed to working in an inclusive school environment
• Have a clear understanding of barriers to learning, and evidence of success to overcome them
• Be solution focussed
• Be able to inspire and lead a team towards common goals
• Be an experienced, effective and reflective leader
