Now looking for them a Mechanical Design Engineer

08.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
08.00am – 3.00pm Friday
They have on site parking, free tea/coffee supplies, Workwear/Uniform, Hearing & Eye Tests paid for, WeCare Support system.
Salary £35k-£45k

Job description
To be considered for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer, the successful candidate must have the following experience or skill set:
· Utilise CAD software tool to draw component details, assemblies and machine parts for manufacturing.
· Experience using Solidworks and AutoCAD or similar 3D software
· Must be able to read and understand 2D drawings
· Knowledge of machinery design would be ideal
· Experience of managing projects from initial concept to completion
· Shopfloor knowledge & Manufacturing processes would be beneficial
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Ability to work under pressure & to prioritize own workload
· Strong minded, Self-motivated & Attention to Detail
· Highly motivated with the drive to take on new challenges
· Keen to progress within the company
· Min qualification HNC in Mechanical Engineering
· Hydraulics, Pneumatics and any Electrical knowledge would be advantageous

Responsibilities:
· As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be creating a wide variety of designs for machinery products.
· Design & build components to customer specifications.
· Create final assembly, machining drawings and modifying & improving existing designs using Solidworks and AutoCAD
· Ensuring designs are safe to build as well as cost effective
· Provide technical support to the shopfloor and site installation teams as and when required.
. Run your own project with minimum supervision.
· Follow all set drawing office procedure
· Generate part list/BOM’s
· Ensure all designs & part lists are released in timely manner to an agreed timescale
· Liaise with customers, suppliers & internal departments to ensure the information is free and flowing.
