The Role:
The Purchasing Coordinator provides an invaluable service in the supply chain, by ensuring customer and supplier on-time delivery through effective proactive management of orders, transportation solutions, and pricing in line with company policies and values.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Using MRP function to identify stock requirements.
• Raising and sending purchase orders to suppliers.
• Processing order confirmations from suppliers
• Managing and recording supplier on-time delivery (SOTD) and late shipments.
• Managing and recording supplier issues/complaints and supplier returns.
• Ad hoc purchasing support for Project Engineers & Production.
• Resolving shortage lists for building work
• To gather supporting information for Project Engineers from suppliers.
• Management of company-branded workwear.
• Support customer shipments when required.
• Maintain and update supplier price lists and also manage supplier proposed price increases.
• Achieve mutually agreed quarterly priorities.
• New item input in the ERP system and new vendor set up and input in ERP system.
• Coordination of supplier evaluations to and from suppliers
• Sourcing new products and suppliers.
• Review short-life stock history and update planning permissions.

Skills & Experience:
Experience of working in a high-volume transactional admin role.
Knowledge of Microsoft programs would be beneficial, any experience with NAV or Office 365 is desirable but not essential.
Experience in a similar purchasing role is desirable but not essential, (Full training to be provided).
