Job description
Pulse is now seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within a paediatric service at an innovative NHS trust based in Torquay, Devon. The post is available to start on 21.08.23, offering full-time hours per week with the placement due to end on 20.10.23.
The postholder will be assessing occupational performance of children, planning, and implementing support and interventions to maximise the child’s occupational performance within appropriate settings. Interventions include provision of suitable adaptive equipment or recommendations for suitable equipment and provide specialist guidance and recommendations for home or school adaptations. Applying therapists must have previous experience in complex postural management assessments, writing and recording of equipment justification form and clear evidence of clinical reasoning, as well as knowledge of DFG adaptations process and experiences of writing housing assessments and statements of Need.
