Job description

We are currently working with a reputable practice in the Okehampton area, that are looking to add an Optometrist to their team on a full or part-time basis, helping them to continue their on-going success.

A fantastic opportunity has become available, to join an experienced and tenured team in a practice with a phenomenal reputation, where it is known as the opticians of choice in the area.

This role offers a lucrative salary of up to 65,000 alongside a generous 10,000 welcome bonus and even a relocation bonus too!

The practice is open to taking on a full or part time Optometrist, working anywhere from 2-5 days a week. They offer flexible general hours of work and up a one hour lunch break. The expectation is that two in four Saturday will be covered, however an attractive factor of this opportunity, is that Sunday work will never be required, due to the practice being closed.

The practice itself is highly-established and has close links with the community it serves. This means they are regularly fully booked and receive regular referrals furthering the organic growth of the practice.

Additionally the practice continually invests in the latest equipment, with test rooms boasting OCT's, phoropters, Humphries Fields Machines, alongside a fully paperless system.

This is a wonderful chance to join a supportive team and therefore applications are welcome from those nearing their final OSCE's, newly qualified individuals and experienced Optometrists. With numerous options for both clinical and career progression, this is an excellent prospect.

Location

Key Duties

• Flexible days available from 1-5 days which are fully negotiable and flexible
• Days available from Monday-Sunday with options for weekend flexibility
• General working hours of 8am-6pm
• Modern and well-equipped clinical practice including OCT''s and Phoropter's in every test room
• Up to 40 minute test times (may affect salary)
• Numerous opportunities for further progression and development

Package and Benefits

• Market leading package with a basic salary between 45,000 - 65,000 (depending on experience)

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
