Job description

Help us engage our audiences by researching and sourcing compelling content for our website. You will help us build credible content for young people and their families seeking mental health support and services. 

What will you be doing?

We are a technology social enterprise with a mission to build a bright and healthy future for our children and young people. Our products and services deliver personalised mental healthcare for people, not for profit. 

We are urgently looking for an experienced content researcher to work with us. We would like the volunteer to:

• Research mental health related topics for blogs and articles
• Interact with mental health professionals who want to contribute as guest writers
• Thinking through our audiences’ information needs and how we can present that effectively
• Web copywriting: Create engaging content for our website that adheres to SEO and brand
• Case study writing and storytelling: Help communicate our impact via stories and case studies that we can use on our website, in marketing materials, or in our annual report.

You will be working with our content team who will provide an overview of our existing content, marketing materials, as well as our content strategy and brand guidelines.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a volunteer who has:

• Strong writing and editing skills
• Understanding of use of, and ability to write for, different mediums and formats (print copy vs web copy)
• Experience in copywriting, marketing, public relations, communications or journalism
• Ability to write with SEO [web writing tasks only] and brand at front of mind using our existing voice and style
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to quickly understand the needs of our team / organisation / users
• Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements
• Understands the resource constraints of a small charity and is able to work with these.
• Open to feedback

What difference will you make?

Searching for the right, reliable mental health content is stressful for already struggling young people and their parents/ carers. With your help, we aim to build simple, clear, and concise content that will create a long-term impact on the mental wellbeing of young people. Any blog/ articles you write will be published under your name.
