Job description
As a Maintenance Technician at Sodexo, stationed at Microsoft, you are more than just a skilled worker; you are a critical support pillar and a problem solver. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our facilities through diligent maintenance, reactive support, and effective management of services.
You will work closely under the guidance of the Technical Services Supervisor, playing a key role in maintaining a safe, functional, and compliant environment. What you’ll do:
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring operational effectiveness and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Perform fault finding, remedial works, and periodic inspections in line with Health & Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
- Manage and update maintenance records, ensuring all statutory certifications are current.
- Supervise and escort sub-contractors, and contribute to weekly site meetings and toolbox talks.
- Develop and review method statements and risk assessments, providing necessary reports on work and equipment.
What you bring: - Proven background in electrical engineering with relevant qualifications such as City and Guilds or equivalent in Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in maintaining systems such as HV/LV, MCC’s, Switchboards, Generators, etc., and an understanding of BMS systems.
- IT literacy, with experience in using CAFM systems; knowledge of BS7671 18th edition IET wiring regulations is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to health & safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work unsupervised and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- A team player who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and can remain calm under pressure.
