Job description

West Derby School is an 11-18, all boys’ school in Liverpool. The school is oversubscribed with appeals for places, and has 1010 on roll including 100 in the Sixth Form. We have a state of the art building providing a bright and inspirational learning environment with excellent facilities. Trustees are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Behaviour Manager to run our Isolation Room.  

The successful candidate will work within the Isolation Room, supporting students and ensuring that they stay focused on their work during their time there.

This role includes dealing with students who may display challenging behaviour and we are seeking someone who has strong behavioural management skills as well as an ability to diffuse difficult situations. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and be able to work as part of a team in order to support our high expectations.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have experience of working with young people. The successful candidate will have 5 GCSE passes (including English and Maths.  Excellent literacy, numeracy, ICT and communication skills are essential for this role.
