Speech and Language Therapist
Position required: Full timeSpeech and Language Therapist (part time considered)
Location: Children’s Services Lincolnshire (sites are in Swinderby, Langford and Friesthorpe)
Salary: £29,796 - £41,886 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 38 hours per week
Annual Leave: 40 days per annum (pro rata)

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join the organisation as a Speech and Language Therapist and be a part of our multi-disciplinary team. As a Speech and Language Therapist you will make a key contribution to providing effective person-centred support within our Meaningful Life Model. This describes our inclusive way of working which aims to make sure that individuals in our care have a voice so that they can be actively involved in their education, care and support.
About the role
The purpose of your role is to support people to develop communication skills to enable them to become more independent and able to live a lifestyle of their choosing. You will have a good understanding of the communication needs of a client group with learning disability, autism and a range of complex needs. You will build upon this understanding of needs throughout all individual interactions to bring about best practice in all aspects of engagement.
You will provide universal, targeted and specialist support for the people within the service, as part of a multi-disciplinary team and in a variety of environments. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, families, carers and stakeholders to promote the wellbeing and best interests of the people supported in our services. You will have the opportunity to build long term relationships with young people and every day you will be able to see the impact that your support has on their learning and quality of life.
About you
You will have a professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and current professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will also be a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
You will have knowledge of learning disability and/or autism and associated mental health difficulties and will be able to demonstrate a passion for supporting young people with these needs. You will provide support and professional advice to other members of the team and all other stakeholders.
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual who can demonstrate a commitment to an evolving service and delivering effective and evidenced service initiatives. Due to the high level of supervisory support available within Kisimul’s Speech and Language Therapy team this role could be suitable for a newly qualified or recently qualified practitioner. The salary will be dependent on experience.
