Job description
As someone with marketing experience, you will maintain the established brand of the International Cotton Association’s joint-venture, ICA Bremen – the world’s leading centre for cotton testing and research.
You’re imaginative and forward thinking, and have some experience in marketing. Organised and proactive, with lots of initiative, you’re able to prioritise a busy workload and consistently deliver high quality work, sometimes to tight deadlines.
A confident communicator, you’re able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders from different cultures and geographic regions.

- Responsible for ICA Bremen marketing and communications across both digital and print platforms.
- Responsible for the marketing budget.
- Take the lead for managing the newly developed website.
- Develop and plan an eMarketing strategy for the brand.
- Manage social media channels and related content.
- Prepare presentations for meetings and events.
- Plan, co-ordinate and promote ICA Bremen training courses (Approx. 1-2 annually for 10-16 PAX).
- Schedule and co-ordinate the agenda for team meetings.
- Assistance at ICA events will be required and therefore a flexible approach is essential.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in marketing.
- Appreciation of accountability, targets and outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
- Self-led with an ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to find imaginative and practical solutions.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to communicate with diverse, international audiences.
- Flexible approach.
- IT literacy – knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel internationally 2-3 times per year for periods of up to 7 days.
Desirable
- Educated to degree level or qualification in relevant area.
- Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification.
- Experience working with international clients and stakeholders.
- Experience of coordinating events.
- Ability to engage and build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience working with marketing / membership databases.
- Knowledge of Stova, Mailchimp or similar event and marketing platforms.
- Experience using Canva creative software or similar.
Contract / Recruitment Type: Part time, permanent. 0.5 FTE
Start Date: ASAP
Salary circa: £22,000 per annum FTE (£11,000 part time equivalent)
The role is office based in Liverpool city centre and allows for maximum flexibility with your working pattern. Flexible hours and remote working are possible. ICA Bremen is based in Germany so regular visits to Bremen, Germany will be part of the role.
