Job description

Clinical teaching, training and supervision To provide a supportive integrated learning environment for students to develop post graduate level, professional and subject specific skills. To participate in the delivery of the postgraduate joint programme. To contribute to lectures, tutorials, seminars and supervision as required. To produce high quality teaching and learning materials to support student learning To be responsible for the provision of clinical supervision groups To collaborate with academic colleagues on course development as required. Clinical Responsibilities To work collaboratively across professions and disciplines in Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Services and associated teams and services as required. To develop clinical skills and knowledge through on-going education and lifelong learning, ensuring that practice is up to date, evidence based and within your scope of practice. To provide support in clinical areas, for staff undertaking clinical skills by working alongside health care professionals, advising on best practice. To effectively utilise all members of multi-disciplinary teams working in the Trust when engaging with staff. To routinely work using own initiative and have the ability to seek advice when necessary from the most appropriate staff. Consultation and Liaison To work collaboratively in partnership with clinical colleagues to support the learning environment and to foster working and business relationships. To build contacts and participate in relevant networks for the exchange of information and to form relationships for future collaboration. To contribute to partnership working with clinical colleagues and service users. Leadership To establish excellent working relationships with other professionals within your scope of practice. To work with academic and community team staff to ensure healthcare workers are competent and supported. To have the ability to work as an autonomous practitioner and organise own workload in clinical and academic areas. To implement quality improvement and quality assurance by promoting cost effectiveness through utilisation of cost benefit analyses and clinical effectiveness. To demonstrate leadership of others to promote evidence-based practice.
