Position Responsibilities:
As a Key Stage 2 ASD Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to Key Stage 2 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies.
- Collaborating with teachers and therapists to create a supportive learning environment.
- Assisting in the development of educational materials tailored to the needs of students with ASD.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, reporting to the class teacher and SENCO.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience working with Key Stage 2 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the unique needs of students with ASD.
