The Diocese of Durham is seeking a Giving Advisor.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract - 5 Years
Hours: 35
Salary: Grade 5.1 - £31,680 per annum
The Diocese of Durham provides ministry and support to parishes and chaplaincies across the diocese to support our mission of “Blessing our communities in Jesus” name for the transformation of us all”.
This full-time post is offered by the Durham Diocesan Board of Finance on the Board’s standard terms and conditions, on a fixed term contract of five years. Extensions may be forthcoming subject to funding.
The Giving Advisor will work as part of the Generous Giving Team to support Parochial Church Councils (PCCs) in encouraging and facilitating Christians in the diocese to give generously to support the work of the parishes and the diocese. This includes promotion of an understanding of the principles of Christian giving and generosity in its fullest extent including personal discipleship and parish share.
The successful candidate must have a passion for fundraising and charitable giving in support of the Church of England and for supporting church volunteers in a Christian context. They will be confident presenting to groups on subjects relating to giving and church finance, often travelling to meet clergy and parish officers across the diocese, sometimes at evenings and weekends.
The successful candidate must have a qualification relating to Christian Theology.
