Job description

A great opportunity to join a leading waste management company at their Wiltshire site as a chemist in their waste management division.

Your day will consist of working mainly outside in the waste transfer station and involve the following tasks.

• Inspecting incoming waste loads and cataloguing accordingly
• Preparation of both non- hazardous and hazardous goods for onward disposal.
• Ensuring waste is segregated in accordance with industry guidelines.
• Checking and ensuring waste and is stored correctly.
• Dealing with all incoming loads and documentation to check compliance and safe handling.
• Preparation of hazardous waste labels

If you have experience in the waste management sector or hazardous waste industry and also possess some chemistry based lab experience then this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Equally if you are a working in a lab environment and are keen to undertake a more hands on role we would like to hear from you. Due to the nature of the work A level Chemistry (or equivalent) or a chemistry degree or equivalent is a prerequisite. The waste industry has excellent training and fantastic career prospects for motivated people.
