Charity Finance Executive – Ministry (Ref - CFE/24)

Employment Status: Permanent Part-time
Date: February 2024
Working Days: Tuesday – Friday
Hours: 10:00am – 3:00pm

Working for a Christian Charity Organization in Grays, Essex as a Charity Finance & Outreach Executive

Role:
• Be part of a growing congregation and part-take in all ministry activities required to fulfil the organisation’s charity objectives.
• Take lead roles in evangelistic and social outreach programmes of the ministry.
• Engaging and encouraging other members, volunteers of the charity and others in the community to commit to the programs and activities of the Charity.
• Promote the activities of the Church within the Community and be a good Christian ambassador in all transactions.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and/or a degree in accountancy will be required.
• Manage cash controls as well as maintain book-keeping up-to-date.
• Understand charity accounting and gift aid processing.
• Understand bid-writing and grants documentation.
• Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, invoices, proposals, etc as required.
• Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely.
• Ensure that financial transactions are properly updated and recorded.
• Produce expense reports, and all others reports as requested by the Trustees
• Ensure data integrity in all financial reporting.
• Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues.
• Review financial paperwork and procedures and make appropriate changes.
• To assist the Lead Pastors with required administrative details of required ministry projects.

• Maintaining and updating Church databases
• Promoting the charity’s vision and objectives within the local community, documenting and communicating feedback to the administrator, departmental leaders and the trustees of the Charity.
• Assist in managing office supplies stock and placing orders.
• Updating office financial policies as needed
• Maintaining & updating Social Media platforms
• Any other task as directed by the lead Pastors.

Skills and experience:
• Committed, Matured Christian with ability to lead teams.
• Ability to work on New Projects that will help to deliver the Charity objectives.
• Proven finance and database experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• Knowledgeable in accounting and book-keeping software
• Knowledge of managing charity finances
• Proficiency in Social Media Platforms
• Proven accuracy and attention to detail
• Initiative, flexibility and self-motivation.
• Confidence, diligence, and approachability
• Timely and efficient with ministry tasks assigned to them.
