Service Manager - MASH - 12 months Fixed Term Contract
About the roleWe have a fantastic career opportunity for a Service Manager to add capacity in the development of our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub here at Northamptonshire Children’s Trust. This is an exciting time to be joining us, as we are continuing our transformation, putting children at the heart of what we do on behalf of the two unitary authorities across the county.
MASH is the first point of contact for partner agencies and the community when they have safeguarding concerns for children and young people. Our MASH team work closely with co – located partners and agencies to identify and assess the risks and needs of children at the earliest possible opportunity using our Signs of Safety methodology.
What will you be doing?
We are seeking an innovative Service Manager with MASH experience and experience of managing change. You will need excellent communication skills to share and implement our vision, have evidenced strong partnership working and an ability to bring staff with you.
As a Registered Social Worker you will also have operational responsibility for the Team Managers and the quality of practice undertaken by the teams in the processing and decision making regarding all new referrals. The teams include a range of skilled staff and social workers who are friendly and confident professionals, who can work collaboratively to very tight deadlines and ensure the child’s needs are paramount and their voice is evident throughout.

Working collaboratively as part of the senior leadership team and with our partners you will bring energy ideas and help us to develop our Mash.
Extensive post-qualifying experience of statutory social care practice and multi-agency working is highly essential.
You will have a sound understanding and ability in relation to effective quality management practices, particularly as they relate to service planning and performance management and development of services and staff.

Northamptonshire Children’s Trust was established in November 2020 to deliver Children’s Services to the newly established North and West Northants County Councils.
