IT Manager
Salary: £51,000 plus up to £7,650 Bonus
Location – Milton Keynes
Hybrid working
Our prestigious client, a top 10 global leader in healthcare and diagnostics is seeking an IT Manager to join their highly successful team. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT and leadership skills with a degree or equivalent in IT.
The successful candidate will work very closely with the director of technology. You will play a crucial role in aligning and delivering the technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing an internal team of 3, providing immediate line responsibility for their performance and development.
- Act as management continuity for the Product IT team in the absence of the Director of Technology and Product IT Manager.
- Work closely with the Product IT Manager to ensure that technology services align with service delivery, security and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and uphold current security standards, including ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials+.
- Collaborate with the Director of Technology to develop and maintain processes and service quality, fostering agile and efficient technology services in coordination with the EMEA regions.
- Handle complex, confidential and high-pressure problems while maintaining consistently high standards of work.
- Utilise SLAs with the IT services to ensure IT service delivery.
- Plan and roll-out relevant training with the IT team to the business to ensure continued compliance and best practices are driven forward.
- Maintain and develop IT policy and procedure to ensure best practices are constantly adhered to within the team and external compliance demands are met.
- Conduct performance appraisals for the Internal IT team, ensuring motivation and professional development. With the support of the Director of Technology, assist in setting annual KPIs and targets in line with the technology strategy.
- Provide escalation pathways for technical and personnel issues to support and nurture the growth of the Internal IT team.
Essential requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
- 3 years’ experience in IT Management
- ITIL Awareness / CERTIFICATIONS.
- Proven track record of managing a team and complex projects.
- Strong technical understanding of hardware, software, networking and cybersecurity.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with current windows and windows server operating systems and platforms.
- Understanding of IT governance and compliance, including GDPR.
- Knowledge of current technology trends and best practices.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Requirements:
- Advanced qualifications in cloud computing or cybersecurity.
- Experience in Healthcare environment.
- Experience in Implementing Agile Methodologies.
- Datto and Rubrik backup Technologies.
- Experience in negotiating with vendors and managing contracts.
- Ability to create and implement strategic IT plans and policies.
