Job description

We are seeking a Materials Technician to join our local clients, based near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. The client is seeking an individual from a Stock Control/Quality background to join them on a permanent basis.

As a Materials Technician, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that there is a consistent and constant flow of Material through to Production. This position is based within the Quality Department.

Duties to include but not limited to: 

• To ensure that raw material supplies are constant:
• Ensure material supply is available to the machine before a problem is created on the machine
• Every effort must be made to prevent machines running empty, grinders blocking up, material spillage, etc.
• To make any adjustments that is within the level of competence of the material technician necessitated by changing of material mix.
• To assist with coordinating and carrying out colour changes on machines in line with production plans.
• To carry out accurate stock counts on raw materials for month-end reporting.
• Use of Forklift Truck to load / Unload
• Use of Waste Management system

In order to be considered for this position, candidates should: 

• Have experience in a quality, stock or stores (Warehouse – not Retail) environment
• Have Forklift experience, License preferred
• Be Prepared and happy to work on a shift basis.

The working hours for this role will be 06:00 – 18:00, this is based on a 4 on / 4 off basis.

Salary on offer is £26,000 per annum.
