JOB TITLE:    LEARNER SUPPORT OFFICER (TEACHING ASSISTANT)

LOCATION:    KINGS LYNN (FRESH START PROGRAMME)

HOURS:          TERM-TIME ONLY (36 WEEKS PER YEAR), 2 - 5 DAYS PER WEEK

SALARY:        £11.72 - £11.82 PER HOUR (£22,551 - £22,751 FTE)

Learner Support Officers offer one to one and group support to learners both inside and outside of the classroom through a range of activities based on individual learner needs.  You will work closely with the wider additional learning support team and the fresh start team, as well as with designated learners.

We are recruiting to roles with a variety of hours on offer, with a minimum of 2 days per week.

CWA are recruiting for additional Learner Support Officers to work with learners on our Fresh Start programme.  Our Fresh Start programme creates a supportive and positive learning environment which is intended to develop study skills, as well as raise attainment and self confidence for our learners. Our programmes support them towards a City & Guilds qualification in Employment Skills through 7 week blocks of lessons; and successful students can progress throughout the year, from Entry Level through to Level 2. Throughout the course you'll help them to develop valuable life, communication, study and employability skills alongside obtaining English and maths qualifications.

The Fresh Start team work with colleagues across CWA to provide our learners with employability skills, personal development and help them on their path to further study or employment.

This is a chance to make a real difference to young people who have had previous difficulties in their educational career. 

This role will involve working in both our main stream and Fresh Start teams

We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Additional Learning Support team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength.  We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.
