Are you passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of students with special needs?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to join an amazing Autism Specialist School in North Birmingham, to support the educational journey of their students. The school cater for children and young people from KS3 to KS5.
Position: Special Needs Teacher
Location: North Birmingham
Job Type: Full-time/Temporary, with potential to go Permanent
Salary: Competitive, excellent rates of pay

Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
* Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic and social-emotional growth
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students with Autism and complex needs
* De escalate behaviours that challenge calmly and respectfully
* Utilize assistive technology and adaptive teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
* Collaborate with parents/guardians, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic support and continuity of care
* Monitor student progress, assess learning needs, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
* Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student in compliance with regulatory standards
