Job description

Configuration Manager required for an International Engineering Consultancy working on major infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas.We are embarking on various Rails Projects, including high-speed railways in the UK, the Middle East, and in North America.Permanent staff position with a salary dependent on the applicant’s relevant experience.London based - Hybrid/Flexible Working Arrangements in place. 3 days office based, 2 days Working from home. As Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and application of a Configuration Management process applied to Design and Construction Documents, Software, and Hardware.Your primary responsibilities include: • Provide support to project teams in configuring and baselining project items. • Prepare configuration documents and maintain the Configuration Management (CM) database. • Review and recommend improvements to existing CM processes. • Maintain the data quality, integrity, and security of the CM database. • Schedule audits on the CM database and assist in implementing audit recommendations. • Develop security guidelines to protect unauthorized damage or misuse of project items. • Work with configuration teams in the development and enhancement of CM tools. • Assist in the management, maintenance, and automation of CM tools. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of ISO 10007:2017 Quality Management – Guidelines for Configuration Management, along with demonstrable experience in Configuration Management tasks. They should be proactive with a “can-do” attitude. Other desirable skills include knowledge of Systems Engineering methods, tools, and processes, as well as INCOSE certification (ASEP/CSEP/ESEP).
