Job description
Vetro Education are seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Music Teacher to work in a Secondary school in Pontypool. The school supports learners in Key Stage 3 and 4 and the successful Music Teacher will be required to teach across both Key Stages.
The role itself is long term, full time, for 5 days per week and is set to start in April 2024 running until the end of the academic year.

Pay: £160.00 per day minimum

Hours: Long Term, Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a Music Teacher
Lead a classroom of learners - Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Preparing the classroom for lessons and plan work where required
Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs on occasions
Deliver lessons in line with national curriculum
Assist learners at break time with their lunch where required
Engage learners with both classroom and out of classroom activities
Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies
The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Music Teacher
At least 1 year teaching experience (exceptions made for NQTs)
Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
