SEN Teaching Assistant to join our client school in
Maidenhead . This role provides a unique opportunity to work one-on-one with a student with
ASD, offering tailored support to meet their specific needs and facilitate their academic and personal growth.
By working one-on-one with a student with
ASD , you will have the privilege of witnessing their unique abilities and strengths flourish. Your guidance will not only help them excel academically but also nurture their social and communication skills, fostering a sense of belonging, self-confidence, and independence. As an Autism

Key Responsibilities as an SEN Learning Assistant:
- Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one support to a student with ASD, tailoring your approach to their unique learning style and requirements.
- Communication Assistance: Foster effective communication and social interaction skills for the student, using evidence-based strategies.
- Behavioural Support: Implement behaviour management techniques to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Academic Support: Assist the student with classwork, homework, and educational activities, working closely with teaching staff to adapt materials as needed.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching staff, speech therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
Qualifications of an SEN Learning Assistant: - Relevant qualifications in special educational needs, or a related field are advantageous.
- Previous experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN.
- Adaptability to respond to the diverse learning styles and needs of the individual student.
- Commitment to promoting inclusivity and advocating for the rights of students with SEN.
