Do you have what it takes to change a pupils life?

With Teaching Personnel being the UK's leading provider of tutors and tuition programmes in the education sector, there has been a huge influx of referrals and pupils that are needing 1:1 support outside of the classroom.

With research showing that 12 hours of tutoring can be equivalent to 3 months of additional progress for a young person, 1:1 tuition is in popular demand for pupils with all different backgrounds and abilities.

TP Tutors are currently looking for tutors in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area, where we have seen the big demand. We have a range of pupils requiring tuition from EYFS all the way through to GCSE & A level's within core subjects (English, Maths or Science). However we do also have some pupils who need tuition programmes being tailored to help with everyday life skills and getting back into a routine.

Tuition can be for a variety of reasons including:
- A looked after child
- Relocation
- SEN/SEMH needs
- General help to improve grades

Tuition work can range from 1-15 hours per week, per pupil, meaning you can have flexibility in this role with working either part time or full time and managing your own diary.

What we are looking for in a tutor:
- SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or other)
- Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons
- Applying skills to get pupils education back up to speed.
- Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback.
- Desirable - Experience with working with children that have challenging behaviour.

To be successful, you will need:
- Hold a QTS/PGCE certificate
- Experience working with either primary or secondary pupils (SEN Desirable)
- To have a flexible and adaptable working pattern
- Enthusiasm, confidence and patience
- A valid and current child workforce DBS (Or be willing to apply for one)
- Be a UK resident and have Right to Work documentation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
