Job description

We are looking for an individual who is experienced in working as Warehouse/Logistics supervisor, on a full time permanent basis for our client near Boroughbridge. An FLT license is essential. This is a varied role encompassing responsibility for the effective running of the warehouse and logistics operations, including picking & packing goods ready for shipment. The role is also likely to require some heavy lifting.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to -

Warehouse Duties

The Warehouse & Operations Co-ordinator will be responsible for the picking & packing of stock items ready for shipment.
Stock Management

Routine Stock checks
Analysis of stock goods and maintaining stock levels
Ordering & communicating with Suppliers
Domestic Shipments

Overseeing goods in/out
Processing returns
Tracking all domestic shipments
Overseeing usage of couriers and hauliers
International Shipments

Overseeing despatch of oversees exports
Arranging & processing all documentation for export shipments
Dealing with international orders and suppliers
Arranging shipping for imports with suppliers and third party Hauliers

Additional Responsibilities

Acting as the company's Health & Safety representative.
Working with Company directors on Health and Safety
Ensuring warehouse staff follow Health and Safety rules and regulations
First Aider (Preferred, but not essential)

Non Conformance/Returns Processing

Processing any non-conformities in regards to suppliers that may arise
Arranging collection of goods being returned from customers where necessary
Inspecting returned goods and liaising with directors in charge of Non conformities and Returns
Qualifications/Skills

Experience in a warehouse/production supervisor role or equivalent
Experience of managing their own workload.
FLT trained
Microsoft Excel Proficient
Experience in the use of Sage 50 Software preferred but not required
First Aid Training preferred

Hours of work Monday – Thursday 8.30 to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30 to 4.00pm. Salary of £27,000.
