Job Title: Senior Estimator

Location: Antrim, United Kingdom

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

A leading modular construction company with over 35 years of experience seeks a Senior Estimator to join its team in Antrim, Northern Ireland. Specialising in innovative and sustainable modular buildings across various sectors.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead multiple tender submissions, ensuring high-quality bids are delivered on time while maximising profitability and mitigating commercial risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Price Design & Build tenders from first principles, utilising measurement and unit rates application.
• Obtain and review subcontractor quotations, incorporating the most commercially suitable options.
• Understand tender requirements under different forms of Design & Build Contracts, including JCT and NEC.
• Present tender submissions to senior management for appraisal, advising on commercial risk and opportunities.
• Ensure timely submission of tenders within profitability guidelines.
• Liaise with other departments to provide necessary support for tender submissions.
• Manage contract overspends and provide commercial support for valuing variations.
• Evaluate subcontractors in line with company health & safety and competency requirements.
• Perform any other duties as required in support of the estimating department.

Requirements:

• Technical proficiency with a solid understanding of the construction industry.
• Extensive experience in Design and Build projects.
• Self-motivated with excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
